Hello, I am Doriane Troch, the co-founder of the organic breastfeeding clothing brand LIMKY. As a mother of 3 children, I wanted to share my experience of 3 breastfeedings and my expertise in the fashion industry with young and future mothers. I created this collection to support and facilitate breastfeeding for mothers and their babies . Discover here the reasons for our brand and its commitments. PRODUCTION IN FRANCE AND PORTUGAL

We produce our collections in France and to Portugal in organic or recycled materials.


We worked on our models in collaboration with French modelers such as Anaïs from SharemyCreat or Sandrine from Wear your ideas .

Our productions are carried out either in our workshop in the North of France or in our factory located in the Porto region, Portugal . We carefully select our raw materials from organic farming. We thus offer a 100% organic cotton collection whose raw material is sourced in Europe.

SOURCING OUR RAW MATERIALS

Our sweatshirts are made from recycled organic cotton or recycled PET, entirely woven by our manufacturer in the North of France.

OUR PURPOSE

As a young woman, doctors predicted that I would have difficulty having children. Motherhood was really not innate for me. With all that, I could hardly see myself as a mother, and even less as a breastfeeding mother!

In the end, life produces some miracles, in my case I had 3.

THE REALITY OF POSTPARTUM

Motherhood then confronted me with some harsh realities, notably isolation; But also, personal or social embarrassment during breastfeeding because I was often forced to uncover my chest or stomach to breastfeed in public places despite my slight modesty...

“As I was due, my husband and I moved, and we were away from family and friends. The days could be long, and it was essential for me to get out and about and meet people. I didn’t want breastfeeding to be a barrier to that and force me to isolate myself further.”

FOR EVERY PROBLEM, THERE IS A SOLUTION

This is why I want to act in favor of the normalization of breastfeeding and make the daily lives of mothers easier. It is therefore essential for me to realize the idea of ​​being able breastfeed in all circumstances!

This is how I decided to give birth to Limky and thus put my determination at the service of all women, with all the diversity of bodies and breastfeeding experiences. #Milky

THE FIRST PRODUCTION: A BET!

All the factories were closing their doors in my face one by one because I had production quantities that were far too low in their eyes and no one wanted to embark on a complex project, especially in the middle of COVID.

When I looked for investors it was the same thing , no one wanted to get involved in a problem that only concerns mothers... That clearly doesn't interest anyone!

One day, while I was breastfeeding my daughter in a café, a friend with a career in the fashion and luxury industry introduced me to one of her colleagues, Isabella, who is of Portuguese origin and the mother of two girls.

A meeting that will bring my project to life.

Isabella thinks my idea is brilliant and invites me to visit her clothing workshop in Portugal to launch our first production, financed by my small savings!

This is how the LIMKY adventure begins, with the daily ambition of helping young mothers and mothers-to-be to reconnect with their femininity and also, find clothes in which they are comfortable to breastfeed in all femininity.

Thus relieving themselves of an additional mental burden during their postpartum period.
