LIMKY, THE BRAND OF ORGANIC NURSING CLOTHES

In my family I had no examples of breastfeeding.

Instinctively I could have chosen the bottle because that's all I knew.

My name is Doriane, I am the founder of LIMKY, the organic breastfeeding clothing brand and, mother of 3 children whom I breastfed.

Through LIMKY, I want to share my experience of breastfeeding three times and my expertise in the fashion industry with young and future mothers.

I created this collection to support and facilitate breastfeeding for mothers and their babies. Discover here the reasons for our brand's existence and its commitments. We also reveal the journey we took to create our maternity clothes, designed for all expectant mothers who wish to breastfeed (or not).

We offer practical and comfortable dresses, sweatshirts, t-shirts and tank tops designed for breastfeeding and which can also be suitable for pregnant women.

Our semi-fit cuts for a feminine look that allow mothers to reconnect with their femininity.

OUR OPENING SYSTEMS FOR EASY BREASTFEEDING

Featuring a double front or side opening, our ingenious, simple and discreet opening systems make everyday life easier for expectant mothers, breastfeeding mothers or breastfeeding pumps.

A real asset to lighten the mental load of mothers who no longer know what to wear and who can't find anything to wear to breastfeed easily.

A WAY TO COUNTER POSTPARTUM ISOLATION

Clothing that also helps some expectant mothers take the plunge into breastfeeding outdoors, regardless of when and where baby is hungry.

Some of our clothes have a loose fit and stretch materials without belly seams, allowing expectant mothers to wear their clothes from pregnancy .

AN ECOFRIENDLY BRAND

ORGANIC NURSING CLOTHES CREATED BY AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE BRAND MADE IN FRANCE AND PORTUGAL.

PRODUCTION IN FRANCE AND PORTUGAL

We produce our collections in France and to Portugal in organic or recycled materials.

We worked on our models in collaboration with French modelers such as Anaïs from SharemyCreat or Sandrine from Wear your ideas .

Our productions are carried out either in our workshop in the North of France or in our factory located in the Porto region, Portugal . We carefully select our raw materials from organic farming. We thus offer a 100% organic cotton collection whose raw material is sourced in Europe.

SOURCING OUR RAW MATERIALS

Our sweatshirts are made from recycled organic cotton or recycled PET, entirely woven by our manufacturer in the North of France.

RESPONSIBILITY

Design, research & development made in France, raw materials woven in Portugal, manufacturing made in Portugal with an ethical family factory member of BSCI and certified Gots and Oeko Tex. Limited quantities to avoid producing unnecessarily or destroying stocks. We thus guarantee renowned know-how and professionalism in compliance with social and environmental standards.

TRANSPARENCY

Nursing clothes require real thought in terms of cut, choice of fabrics and opening system. Our cuts and opening systems have been tested and approved by breastfeeding mothers. We are committed to maintaining total transparency regarding our costs and investments. As a small business that is starting out, we do not pay ourselves. Everything is reinvested.

SHORT CIRCUIT

A short circuit to reduce our carbon footprint: - developed in France - produced in Portugal or France - web distribution to control our costs and offer you a fair price. (reduction of almost 90% compared to production in China).
